Board Member Responsibilities*
PRESIDENT | Presides at all regular and special meetings of the Board to ensure that orders and resolutions of the Board are carried out. Signs all leases, mortgages, deeds, and other written instruments. Co-signs all checks and promissory notes. Leads the strategic direction of the POA. Provides oversight of all committees, or delegates to another Board member. Acts as primary contact with WWSPOA attorney and management company. Prepares community-wide communication. Serves as the Treasurer if the Treasurer position is vacant. Requires approximately 15 hours per week. |
VICE PRESIDENT | Assists the President and performs duties delegated from the President or the Board Oversees the Nominating Committee Answers inquiries to team@wwspoa.com and to TownSquare.com that are not handled by Goodwin Management Oversees the implementation of the Goodwin Management Drive-Through Program Assists the ACC with follow-up on construction violations. Requires approximately 10 hours per week. |
SECRETARY | Records the votes and minutes of all meetings and proceedings of the Board and of the Members Serves notice of meetings of the Board and of the Members Keeps appropriate current records showing the Members of the Association together with their addresses* Serves as secondary contact with Goodwin Management to assure all Association Records and Owner Contact Information is maintained. Maintains the WWSPOA website. Posts and/or emails all community communication on behalf of the President. Performs other duties as delegated by the President. Requires approximately 10 hours per week. |
TREASURER | Receives and deposits, in appropriate bank accounts, all monies of the Association and shall disburse such funds as directed by resolution of the Board. Co-signs all checks and promissory notes of the Association. Keeps proper books of account in appropriate form such that they could be audited by a public accountant whenever ordered by the Board or the membership* Prepares an annual budget and statement of income and expenditures and presents it to the membership at its annual meeting, delivers a copy to each Member. Serves as primary contact with Goodwin Management Accounting Department Reviews Association accounts receivable and works with the Management Company and/or attorney to assure all funds are collected. Serves as primary cardholder for the POA credit card, maintains proper controls, collects receipts, and forwards them to Goodwin Management Accounting Department for processing. Performs other duties as delegated by the President. Requires approximately 10 hours per week. |
MEMBER AT LARGE | Assists the VP in the implementation of the Goodwin Management Drive-Through program. Assists the ACC with follow-up on construction violations. Assists Committee Chairpersons with the recruitment of new volunteers and scheduling of volunteer events. Assists the VP with answering inquiries to team@wwspoa.com and to TownSquare.com that are not handled by Goodwin Management Performs other duties as delegated by the President. Requires approximately 10 hours per week. |
